Annual Winter Solstice Concerts
Saturday, November 30, 2013, and Sunday, unday, December 1, 2013
NMPAS annual Winter Solstice concerts at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albuquerque and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel in Santa Fe. Selections by Bach, Palestrina, Monteverdi and carols from England, Germany, France and Spain, with Jennifer Perez, soprano, Linda Marianiello, flute and piano, and members of the New Mexico Bach Chorale.

Enchantment Chamber Music Mardi Gras-Carnival Concert
January 18, 2014 at 4:00 pm
Enchantment Chamber Music, with violinist Ellen Chavez de Leitner, and guitarists Lynn McGrath and Genevieve Leitner, present a concert of music meant for light-hearted enjoyment, as traditionally celebrated in Europe with social balls and parties before the customary forty days of Lenten fasting and penance observed by the Church. Included in the concert are traditional New Mexican folk dances, Venezuelan waltzes by Antonio Lauro, Austrian landlers by Anton Diabelli, Brazilian modhinas, music by Haydn, Pernambuco, and Gonzales, and excerpts from L'Histoire du Tango by Piazzola.

Annual Valentine's Concert
Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 7 pm
Music of Arias y Luna, Amy Beach, Brahms, Mozart, and Ponce. La Catrina Quartet: Daniel Vega-Albela, 1st violin; Roberta Arruda, 2nd violin; Jorge Martinez, viola; Javier Arias, cello; with Linda Marianiello, flute and Debra Ayers, piano. Concert followed by a Meet the Artist Reception with Bubbly at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel and Retreat Center.

The Bach Easter Oratorio Project

Open rehearsal with Maestro Franz Vote and the New Mexico Bach Chorale, with Nancy Brzezinski, piano and Linda Marianiello, flute. A unique insider's view of how world class musicians prepare for a performance.
Saturday evening, May 10, 2014: Reception hosted by Peter Merill and Ruth Wallack; Bach and popular classics.

First Performance of the Newly Orchestrated Requiem
by New Mexico Composer John Donald Robb
and Charles Gounod's Saint Cecilia Mass
Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the St. Francis Auditorium
Soloists, Choir, and Orchestra; Franz Vote, Music Director and Conductor; Members of the New Mexico Bach Chorale. The first performance of John Donald Robb's Requiem in the newly orchestrated version is a joint project of the New Mexico Performing Arts Society and the UNM John Donald Robb Musical Trust in Albuquerque. Robb was the Dean of the College of Fine Arts at UNM, as well as a composer, early collector of folk music, and preservationist. Dean Robb also studied with prominent musicians of his time, including Nadia Boulanger, Horatio Parker, Darius Milhaud, Roy Harris, and Paul Hindemith.
